IGF-1 LR3 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Long Arg3) is a highly anabolic synthetic peptide, a modified version of natural IGF-1. It has 83 amino acids (vs. 70 in native IGF-1), a prolonged half-life of 20-30 hours, low affinity for binding proteins (IGFBPs), and is approximately 3 times more potent than natural IGF-1.
Main Benefits:
• Muscle hyperplasia - the creation of NEW muscle cells (not just an increase in size)
• Massively increased protein synthesis
• Accelerated muscle hypertrophy and lean mass gains
• Extremely fast muscle recovery post-workout
• Significant reduction in body fat
• Prevention of muscle catabolism (anti-catabolic)
• Regeneration and repair of damaged tissues
• Activation of satellite cells (muscle stem cells)
• Improved nitrogen retention and nutrient absorption
• Increased endurance, strength, and athletic performance
• Anti-aging and cell regeneration effects
Typical Dosages:
- Beginners: 20-40 mcg per day (subcutaneous or intramuscular)
- Advanced: 50-100 mcg per day (divided into 2 doses)
Timing: Post-workout (ideal) or morning + evening (split doses)
Cycle Duration: 4-6 weeks ON, followed by 4-6 weeks OFF.
Important: Do not exceed 8 consecutive weeks (risk of desensitization).
IGF-1 LR3 works by directly activating IGF-1 receptors in muscle tissue, triggering the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway which stimulates cell proliferation and protein synthesis. Unlike GH, which requires hepatic conversion, IGF-1 LR3 acts directly on tissues, producing faster and more consistent effects. Reduced resistance to IGFBPs allows it to remain active in the blood for extended periods, maximizing anabolic effects.
Often Combined With:
• MK-677 or Ipamorelin: For additional anabolic synergy.
• CJC-1295: To amplify natural GH production.
• BPC-157 or TB-500: For injury recovery and tissue repair
• Testosterone or SARMs: In advanced bulking cycles
Potential Side Effects: Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), swelling at the injection site, possible insulin resistance with prolonged use, unwanted tissue growth with excessive doses. Prolonged use may desensitize IGF-1 receptors.
Important Note: IGF-1 LR3 is NOT FDA approved. Requires strict medical supervision. Contraindicated in cases of active cancer (promotes cell proliferation). Do not combine with exogenous GH without medical supervision. Banned by WADA in competitive sports.
